This move could be crucial if lead assistant Kenny Atkinson departs for the Cleveland Cavaliers’ head-coaching job, potentially leaving the Warriors in need of two new assistant coaches.
Ham, 50, led the Lakers to a 90-74 record over two seasons, reaching the Play-In Tournament both years and the Western Conference Finals in his first season. However, the Lakers were eliminated in the first round of the 2023-24 playoffs by the Denver Nuggets.
