Negotiations are underway for the ’93-class midfielder from Ajax: Inter would acquire him on a free transfer, with agents working to determine if Ajax is willing to accept this solution. Van de Beek and Ndombele have also been proposed.
Davy Klaassen could potentially be Inter’s last reinforcement in the summer transfer window. Ongoing discussions with the Dutch midfielder from Ajax:
Inter would sign him on a free transfer (his contract expires in 2024), and agents are working to determine if Ajax management is open to this solution for a player who has contributed significantly to the club (321 appearances, 93 goals, and 50 assists).
Ajax eliminated Ludogorets in the Europa League playoffs on Thursday night, with Klaassen coming on as a substitute. Other names proposed include Van de Beek from Manchester United and Tanguy Ndombele from Tottenham.
On the sidelines of the Champions League draw, where Inter was placed in Group D with Benfica, Salzburg, and Real Sociedad, Giuseppe Marotta talked about the possible addition of a midfielder:
“We are pleased with the squad we have, but we have an obligation to seize opportunities based on our resources, which is not easy. However, there are still 24 hours left.
I don’t want to raise too many hopes or disappoint those players who have been contacted in these hours. Nevertheless, I believe we will manage to do something, and I am optimistic“.
