Lakers player complains about preferential treatment for Bronny in the Summer League

A teammate in the summer affiliate of the Los Angeles franchise complained about the benefits received by the son of the highest scorer in NBA history.

Bronny James’ early steps as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers in the Summer League have been gradually improving. However, they have been surrounded by controversy.

An anonymous player who shared the locker room with the son of the NBA’s all-time leading scorer complained about the preferential treatment Bronny received. Additionally, his attitude did not seem to sit well with his teammates.

They treated him differently from the rest of us, and that really bothered us because we didn’t feel any chemistry in this group of players,” said the basketball player about Bronny to the US Sun.

Additionally, the teammate of the Lakers’ second pick in the recent NBA Draft explained the failed attempt by the Hollywood franchise to showcase the best of the young guard, who averaged 5.4 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 4.1 assists in six summer games.

“If you talk to any other player who was part of the California Classic and the Summer League, most of them would tell you the same thing. Tensions were visible, and almost all of us were thinking about the end of the Summer League so we could move on and focus on the next step in our careers,” he stated.

The truth is that Los Angeles will have to work hard to get the best offensive performance from LeBron’s eldest son. Otherwise, head coach JJ Redick will find it difficult to give quality minutes to the rookie.
