King Charles III and Prince William are done with Harry and his wife Meghan in a united front deciding to keeping their distance from them, according to Christopher Andersen, author of “The King.”
This follows the Duke of Sussex’s recent trip to Nigeria with Meghan Markle. Andersen stated, “They have chosen to ignore Harry, to freeze him out, and to not let him get under their skin when they are facing so many critical challenges. Indifference can be even sadder than hate.”
From May 10-12, Harry and Meghan visited Nigeria at the invitation of the country’s military. Andersen told Fox News Digital, “The King and Prince William are not surprised when Harry makes trips abroad, even when Meghan accompanies him. They have crossed Harry off their list for a multitude of reasons, but making a brief trip with minimal media presence isn’t one of them.”
Harry’s Recent London Visit
During a recent trip to London for the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, Harry did not see his father. A spokesperson for the Duke of Sussex explained that the monarch, busy with official duties after a three-month recovery from cancer, was unable to meet.”
Royal author Tom Quinn told the UK’s Mirror that the king and Prince William were “furious” about the Sussexes’ Nigeria trip, but Andersen disagreed. “One reporter and one photographer do not make a royal tour,” he explained. “Harry and Meghan have scaled back their entourage and made their appearances abroad seem informal and unofficial.”
Quinn suggested the Nigeria visit worried the royal family. “The trip had all the elements of an official royal visit – receptions, visits to schools and charities, meetings with wounded soldiers and the disabled,” he explained. “Meghan and Harry’s speeches and their attitude gave the impression they are still active royals, which King Charles and Prince William do not appreciate.”
