Richie reminisced about how Perry’s vibrant and unfiltered approach often pushed him into a more conservative role, reminiscent of a family elder. “Katy’s incredible energy and fearless spirit challenged me to step up in a way that I hadn’t anticipated when I joined ‘American Idol’,” Richie stated. He admitted that, over time, he grew into a paternal figure for the panel, balancing Perry’s boldness with his own seasoned perspective.
TAYLOR SWIFT TO TAKE OVER?
