Juve-Inter, Bonucci’s gesture during the brawl deserves applause

Out due to injury, the Juventus defender enters the field in the general confusion, headed towards Cuadrado: here are the details

TURIN – The brawl that erupted at the end of the Juve-Inter match is causing a lot of controversy. One of the symbols of the Bianconeri club was involved in the heated scuffle that broke out on the pitch at the end of the first leg of the Coppa Italia semifinals: Leonardo Bonucci.

Despite several physical problems that kept him out of the team in recent weeks, the Italian defender is always by the side of the team and the fans, especially in the most complicated moments.

Bonucci stepped onto the field and tried to intervene in the general chaos. Those present in the stands, seeing the Italian defender charge onto the field, thought he was going to get directly involved in the brawl.

However, Bonucci showed all his leadership qualities: a video shows the 35-year-old defender heading towards Juan Cuadrado, the most nervous player in the heated final moments of the match. Bonucci approaches his teammate, taking him by the arm, but the Colombian, very agitated, moves away from him.

The Bianconeri defender says something to him – covering his mouth with his hand to avoid lip reading – and Cuadrado, stopping to listen to the advice of the veteran teammate, seems to understand Bonucci’s message.

The 35-year-old from Viterbo then completely removes the Colombian from the mix of players mixed between Bianconeri and Nerazzurri, thus avoiding any further repercussions for his teammate after the red card given to him by referee Massa at the end of the game.
