The former Bianconeri coach: “Marriages always involve two people; The important thing is that there is a common understanding.”
Antonio Conte has never completely distanced himself from Juventus, and despite the stormy farewell in the summer of 2014, the coach opens the door to a sensational return to the Bianconeri bench:
“Marriages are always a two-people affairs; one can always dream and hope and get remarried again,” he said during a meeting with students at UniSalento, where he received the “Sport, Soft, Skill” award.
“The important thing is that there is a shared vision and common understanding. At the moment, I am enjoying the free time I have, continuing to study and looking around to broaden my knowledge.”
Conte has been on hiatus since March, when the contract with Tottenham was terminated: “If something important happens that gives me the emotions I need, I will certainly return to work.”
The Salento-born coach also spoke about his past as a footballer: “I was a good player; I would give myself an 8. I became like that through hard work, perseverance, and resilience, the desire to always improve runs in my veins. I was good, but not a superstar because my performance was about running, sacrifice, and sweat. As a coach, however, I recognize the talent that I didn’t have as a player.“
