A new widow requested the epitaph “Rest in Peace” for her husband’s tombstone.
But when she later discovered that he had left his entire fortune to his mistress, she was furious.
She rushed back to the stonemason and asked if he could change the carving.
Unfortunately, he told her it was impossible — the words had already been chiseled into the stone.
Thinking for a moment, she said, “Fine… then just add this underneath:
‘Until we meet again.’”
