At breakfast, a man asked his wife, “What would you do if I won the lottery?”
Without missing a beat, she replied, “I’d take half, and then leave you.”
“Really?” he said, raising an eyebrow. “Well, that’s good to know.”
She shrugged and continued sipping her coffee, not taking his question seriously.
A few moments later, with a grin on his face, the man pulled out a crumpled lottery ticket from his pocket and placed it on the table. “Great news, honey. I won $12 yesterday.”
His wife looked at him, half-interested.
