The latest episode of Fixer to Fabulous offered viewers more than a renovation reveal. It brought audiences into a deeply personal milestone for Jenny and Dave Marrs, as footage from their April 2025 vow renewal aired during the Tuesday, February 17 broadcast.
What appeared on screen as a surprise anniversary celebration carried a deeper backstory. In a February 18 Instagram Story, Jenny clarified that the vow renewal itself was originally Dave’s idea. “He asked me two summers ago, under the Eiffel Tower (again),” she wrote while resharing a July 2023 post from the family’s trip to Paris.
That moment in France echoed the couple’s original engagement, which also took place beneath the iconic landmark. This time, as Jenny described it, they were “surrounded by our legacy,” a reference to their five children.
A Paris Proposal Revisited
Jenny’s July 2023 Instagram post documented a romantic gesture from Dave during their Paris visit. She shared photos of the two embracing near the Eiffel Tower alongside their children, as well as images from their early engagement years.
“Last night, Dave surprised me with a new wedding band and I cried just like I did all those years ago,” she wrote at the time. She noted the intention behind the gift, explaining that Dave had taken time to have the band made and carried it with him throughout their travels.
The Paris exchange ultimately led to the vow renewal that would later unfold in front of friends and family.
A Surprise Celebration for a Milestone Anniversary
During the February 17 episode, viewers were given behind-the-scenes access to Jenny’s planning process. She explained on camera that 65 adults and 17 children were invited to a surprise anniversary gathering in honor of their 20 years of marriage.
“I have 65 adults and 17 kids coming tonight for a surprise anniversary party because it’s our 20th anniversary and we’re gonna have a surprise party and a vow renewal, because 20 years is a big deal,” she said.
While organizing the event, Jenny rediscovered their original engagement announcement cards and reflected on the significance of renewing their vows. “He proposed at the Eiffel Tower way back in the day. I’m planning this vow renewal because it’s a way to celebrate the past 20 years and where we’ve been and where we’ve come,” she told the camera.
Dave, she explained, believed he was heading to the barn for family photos. Instead, he was met by dozens of gathered guests.
“I had no idea. Jenny did such a great job surprising me,” Dave said in a confessional. “Ah, what a great surprise.”
Following the episode, Jenny revisited the celebration on Instagram, reposting images from April 2025 and sharing a clip of their children joining them in a huddle during the ceremony. “Forever my favorite memory of the night,” she wrote.
As shown on Fixer to Fabulous, the vow renewal marked not only two decades of marriage, but a full-circle return to where their story began — this time witnessed by the family they built together.
