Jenny Marrs celebrates early birthday surprise with new member on the family farm

HGTV personality Jenny Marrs is starting her birthday month with a joyful family milestone.

The Fixer to Fabulous star revealed on Instagram that her husband, Dave Marrs, and their daughter Charlotte orchestrated a surprise that had been quietly in the works. The surprise? A new puppy named Sally-Sue, introduced as the newest member of the Marrs family farm.

Jenny, whose birthday falls on Jan. 24, shared that she had been openly hoping for a puppy for months, though she did not expect Dave to agree. In her post, she explained that the plan had been carefully arranged behind the scenes.

A thoughtful family gesture

The video opens with Dave and 11-year-old Charlotte documenting their trip to pick up the puppy. On the ride home, the small dog rests peacefully in Charlotte’s lap before the family returns for the reveal.

When Jenny realizes what has happened, her reaction is immediate and emotional. “Are you serious?!” she exclaims, visibly overwhelmed as she holds the puppy for the first time.

“She’ll never replace the hole that our Dolly-Sue left, but she will certainly bring us all joy. This is the year for JOY!” Jenny wrote alongside the video, formally introducing Sally-Sue to followers.

A growing household

Jenny and Dave, who married in 2005, are parents to five children: twin sons Nathan and Ben, born in May 2010; daughter Sylvie, born in 2012 and adopted from the Democratic Republic of Congo in 2014; Charlotte, born in May 2014; and Luke, born in June 2019.

The video concludes with Sally-Sue playing and bonding with her new family members, quickly becoming the center of attention.

In the comments section, supporters joined in celebrating the addition.

“Oh my WORD. 😭 She’s so precious,” one follower wrote. Another added, “Stop it!!!! This is the sweetest thing I’ve seen! Happy birthday… praying that she has a long healthy life making many great memories for y’all!!”

For the Marrs family, the early birthday surprise marks a new chapter on their farm — one centered, as Jenny put it, on joy.
