Footage of Taylor Swift giving a sweet gift to a young fan during her Lisbon concert is melting many, many hearts online.
Last weekend, the 34-year-old singer made a stop in Lisbon, Portugal, as part of her record-breaking Eras tour, performing at the Estádio da Luz on Friday. The three-and-a-half-hour show is divided into 10 acts, each representing a different era of Swift’s career, linked to her various studio albums.
As her fans, known as Swifties, are aware, Swift has been giving away a trilby hat from her Red era during the tour. The Red era, themed around her 2012 album, featured a black trilby as a key part of her style, along with short shorts, sequin shirts, and horizontal stripes. She wears this hat during her performance of “22,” the fourth single from the album.
At each Eras tour show, Swift walks to a fan at the end of the stage and gifts them the 22 hat. In a video from Friday’s concert, Swift approaches a young fan who is singing along to the lyrics. After giving the girl a hug, she hands over the prized trilby, bringing the fan to tears of joy.
The touching moment continues with Swift high-fiving the girl, who then blows a kiss to the singer. Swift returns to her dancers to carry on with the performance. A fan account called The Swift Society shared a clip of this moment on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Saturday. The video quickly went viral, garnering over 500,000 views.
