The former Princess of Wales once spoke very openly about the intimate relations she had in her marriage before they disappeared, and she clearly remembered when it all ended.
Princess Diana, the former wife of the current King Charles III, remains one of the most beloved figures in the history of the royal family and pop culture.
More than a quarter-century after her death, Lady Di is still widely read about and discussed daily. Photos of her fashion moments enhance articles on the latest trends, and numerous series and films that narrate her life continue to emerge. Whenever something happens at Buckingham Palace, people often wonder, “What would Diana have said?”
Part of Princess Diana’s charm definitely lies in how she presented herself as a human being, with her own problems, crises, and emotional turmoil. In the famous recordings made during her sessions with Peter Settelen, her public speaking coach, Diana shared many insights about herself and her life.
The sexual life of Princess Diana and then-Prince Charles
It is known that before her marriage, Princess Diana had no romantic lifeโno romances, adventures, nothing that would have helped her understand what the life of an adult in love looks like (which was one of the main reasons she was chosen to be the future king’s wife).
After being cheated on and neglected in her marriage, she eventually began seeking lovers, and at the time she spoke to Settelen, she had been married to Charles for 12 years.
When asked if there was love and passion in their relationship, she replied: “Well, there was. There was. There was. But it was strange, very strange.”
As she explained, after it was strange, then there was nothing, and she even remembered exactly when she stopped being intimate with Charles.
“But that was there and then it disappeared about seven years ago, six years, no, seven, because Harry is eight years old,” said Princess Diana.
While they were intimate, Charles only wanted it once every few weeks, said the princess.
“My instinct told me that it was really very strange,” she explained, adding that they slept together “once every three weeks” and that she was “constantly thinking.”
“Then I realized the pattern because he would see his lady every three weeks before we got married,” observed Princess Diana.
