Lakers fans may not like to read this one. His ex team-mate and friend hits hard at LeBron James
During the latest episode of Lonzo Ball’s The WAE Show, he shared his picks for the best five players to represent Team USA in a five-on-five matchup against Team World. According to Ball, Team World would feature Giannis Antetokounmpo, Luka Doncic, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Nikola Jokic, and Victor Wembanyama. Notably, Ball considers Joel Embiid part of Team USA since Embiid joined the USA team for the Olympics.
For Team USA, Ball chose Kevin Durant, Anthony Edwards, Stephen Curry, Joel Embiid, and Anthony Davis. Ball’s decision to pick Davis over LeBron James and Jayson Tatum sparked some debate. When asked why he left out LeBron, Ball had a straightforward explanation, something the fast said it was PURE DESTRUCTION
“LeBron isn’t a top-five player in the NBA anymore,” Ball stated. “He got bounced in the first round.” He got bounced in the first round will hurt for LeBron especially coming from an ex friend. LeBron fans are not so happy as well.
Ball’s opinion might be controversial, especially among LeBron’s fans. There’s an ongoing debate over whether Durant or LeBron deserves the fifth spot on Team USA. Both players exited in the first round of the playoffs, but some argue that LeBron might have a greater impact than Durant at this stage in their careers.
