LeBron’s eldest son has been questioned after poor performance in his first game of the summer league
The 2024 NBA Draft marked a significant moment in basketball history as the LA Lakers selected Bronny James, LeBron James’ eldest son, with one of their two picks. However, his Summer League debut performance raised more questions than it answered, falling short of expectations.
With limited roster spots available for new players, the Lakers face the challenge of freeing up playing time for Bronny. The big question remains: Do the Lakers believe Bronny is good enough to contribute significantly?
Listen what Anthony Davis, the Lakers second star had to say on the young talent. “He is very good defensively. He can read the floor very well. I think he is a good playmaker. I saw him workout a couple of times, his reads… he reads the defense, he makes the right passes… that was really impressive to me,” Davis remarked. For Anthony davis to get impressed by Bronny, that is SURPRISING.
In order to bloom, you must grow
Following his less-than-stellar performance and subsequent injury in his first Summer League game, all eyes are on Bronny James. Like any young player, Bronny needs time and experience to hone his skills. No superstar has ever emerged without trust, confidence, and, most crucially, ample playing time.
If Bronny enhances his game and helps the team to become better, everyone in the locker-room will be more than welcomed to share the stage with him. It is just a matter of time weather he gets the respect he deserves, or he sinks to the bottom of the team.
