Inzaghi: ‘We’ve won 17 out of 21 games. Crucial to win here. I don’t care about Allegri’s comments’

The Nerazzurri coach after the success in Florence: ‘Inter-Juve? A match between two teams on an impressive journey.’

Simone Inzaghi enjoyed the win against Fiorentina and is already looking ahead to the big title match next Sunday against Juventus. “It’ll be a game between two teams on an impressive journey. We’ll prepare for it the best we can.” explained the Inter coach to Dazn. “We need to prepare for it like we did in the first leg when there were two goals (1-1) in a not-so-exciting match. Now we’re playing at our home, with our fans who are crucial. Many of them were there tonight; they supported us until the end.”

About Allegri’s comments: “Allegri’s comments don’t bother me at all; I’m very calm. Starting Tuesday, We will focus on Juventus, a very strong opponent that we’ll face in the best way possible.”

Was there a fear of not winning tonight: “Yes, there was because after the 1-0, we had many chances to score the second and be more comfortable. Terracciano did a good job. But I can’t say anything to the guys; we’ve won 17 out of 21 games. I can only applaud them. We know every game is tough, and it’s always difficult to win in Florence.”

Regarding the substitutions with an eye on Juventus: “I didn’t think about Juventus today, only Fiorentina. We always focus on the current game. We came from two finals. I gave the guys two days off; they deserve it because they’ve been pushing since July 13. We knew Florence was a crucial step, crucial to win here for us.”

Compliments to Asllani: “Kristjan was excellent, but I had no doubts. he’s 100% part of the group. He always trains well, and it’s fortunate to have a guy like him. I’m happy for the assist; his shows his hard work.”

On refereeing decisions: “I haven’t reviewed or heard from Marelli. Episodes are there to be judged and seen. It took a long time because they needed reviewing. Regardless of whether the penalty was given or not, it’s right to accept what they decide. The referee did very well, and there are three men on the field and two at VAR making tough decisions.”
