The Nerazzurri coach ahead of the game against Atalanta: “Thuram has done well from day one, but he still has room for improvement.”
Inter, the league leaders, will have to defend the top spot in the Serie A on a very challenging field like that of Bergamo. Ahead of this crucial game, Simone Inzaghi warns his team:
“It will be a very tough match, we are aware of that. Atalanta has been performing so well for years because they have an excellent management and an excellent coach. We need to maintain a high level of concentration.”
The Bergamasque team has not conceded a goal at home this season: “The match already provides great motivation, and this is another aspect where we need to excel. We are aware of this statistic; they have always been a team that concedes very little.”
Inzaghi, speaking to Inter TV, anticipates a “physical game because both teams have physicality and many options at their disposal. In defense, we need to stay as focused as in the last few matches, as we will be tested, and when it happens, we’ll have to endure it together as a team. Every aspect is important; they have technical and physical qualities, so we’ll need the clarity we’ve shown in recent matches.”
Lastly, regarding Marcus Thuram‘s excellent form: “Since July 13th, the whole group has been working well together, he has adapted within the team in the best way possible, thanks to the group’s support. In my opinion, he can still improve; he just needs to continue training well, as he is doing right now.”
