Inter, if Bastoni leaves, they will go “all-in” on Scalvini.

The youngster born in 2003 is the chosen one if Inter’s centre-back bids farewell. Mehdi Demiral, on the other hand, is always the number one target to replace Skriniar

Inter Milan may be interested in signing Atalanta’s Giorgio Scalvini in the summer transfer window, but only if they sell their current defender Alessandro Bastoni.

The Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, reports that Inter sees Scalvini, who is only 19 years old, as the perfect replacement for Bastoni.

Although Atalanta has placed a €40 million price tag on Scalvini, Inter is reportedly not discouraged by the figure.

However, it is not yet clear whether Bastoni will remain with Inter beyond this summer. According to Gazzetta, if an extension to his contract beyond June 2024 is not agreed upon, Inter will seek to sell him.

If that happens, finding a like-for-like replacement for Bastoni will be a top priority, making Scalvini their main target.

Scalvini is highly rated, but his price tag could be a hurdle for most clubs. Inter, however, could potentially use a portion of the fee they receive for Bastoni to bring in Scalvini.

On the other hand Inter Milan is reportedly considering Mehdi Demiral as a potential replacement for Milan Skriniar, according to recent reports.

The Turkish defender has been on the Nerazzurri’s radar for some time, and the club’s CEO, Giuseppe Marotta, is said to be keen on bringing him in.

Skriniar has been a key player for Inter since joining the club in 2017, but will join PSG at the end of the season.
