Inter fans left outside the stadium, UEFA: “Case under examination”

The issue of Nerazzurri fans being denied entry into Do Dragao continues to be a cause for concern.

Despite negotiations and efforts made by Inter’s Giuseppe Marotta to investigate the matter further, UEFA has now stepped in to address the issue.

In a statement, UEFA noted that they were made aware of a significant number of visiting supporters who purchased tickets in home sections of the stadium.

UEFA regulations require that 5% of the stadium’s capacity be allocated to visiting teams in an area reserved for their own fans.

The statement also clarified that the organizer of the match (Porto) and competent authorities are responsible for ensuring the safety and protection of spectators, as well as ticketing policies.

Mitigation measures have been discussed between the two clubs, and UEFA is currently examining the case.
