Here are Inter’s revenue figures from this Champions League so far (which could increase further based on the achievements the team will make)
The draw at San Siro confirmed the final standings in Champions League Group D: Real Sociedad in first place and Inter in second, tied on points with three wins and three draws. Calcio e Finanza has estimated the revenues earned by the Nerazzurri in their European campaign:
- Participation bonus, the same for all clubs, bringing €15.64 million to their coffers.
- Historical/decennial ranking, part of a total prize pool of 600.6 million euros divided among football clubs based on their rankings in the performance over the last ten years in European competitions.
For this season, the estimates by Calcio e Finanza are based on UEFA’s official data for 2021/22. In that season, approximately 34 million euros were assigned to Italian clubs from the market pool. This amount is divided into two parts: 17 million are allocated proportionally based on the Serie A 2022/23 standings, where Inter finished third behind Napoli and Lazio. The remaining 17 million is distributed among the clubs based on the number of matches they will play in the upcoming Champions League. In this case for Inter it would be: elimination in the Round of 16.
For Inter, the revenue figures during this Champions League (which could still increase based on season results) are as follows:
- Participation bonus: €15.64 million
- Historical ranking: €20.5 million
- Market pool 1: €3.4 million
- Market pool 2: €2.96 million
- Results bonus: €11.19 million
- Round of 16 bonus: €9.6 million
Total: 63.29 million euros. And when you add the money made from the Stadium tickets, the total should increase more additionally.
