According to ‘Gazzetta dello Sport’ Inter is reconsidering Lazar Samardzic. the Nerazzurri might soon revisit the idea of signing the Serbian midfielder.
In a surprising turn of events Inter is reportedly reconsidering a move for Lazar Samardzic . According to Gazzetta dello Sport, if one of Davy Klaassen or Stefano Sensi were to depart, the Nerazzurri might revisit the idea of signing the Serbian midfielder from Udinese. Samardzic was at the center of one of the wildest transfer sagas last summer.
After completing his medical tests with the ‘Nerazzurri‘, the player’s father had increased their financial demands, leading to a breakdown in negotiations with the club. However, the club could reinitiate contact with the Serbian. Additionally, Inter has shown interest in Piotr Zielinski, who is in the final year of his contract with Napoli.
It’s interesting that Inter is showing renewed interest in Samardzic, especially since the player seems to have chosen Juventus as his next destination (although the club has not yet accepted the ‘Bianconeri’s proposal). He has even shown support for Juventus on social media.
Given the recent history of Juventus attempting to sign Lukaku and ruin his relationship with Inter (and they did), there appears to be a sort of ‘cold war’ between the two clubs. Marotta, in particular, is determined not to see one of his own discoveries join the ‘Old Lady.’ The battle for Samardzic’s signature is shaping up to be an interesting one.
