She shared her life online with millions. But now, Emilie Kiser is asking for one thing: space to grieve.
TikTok star and mommy blogger Emilie Kiser is navigating an unimaginable tragedy after the loss of her three-year-old son, Trigg, who fatally drowned in the familyโs backyard pool in Chandler, Arizona. The incident occurred on May 12, and Trigg passed away six days later, on May 18.
Kiser, 26, wasnโt home at the time of the accident, a source told DailyMail.com. Trigg, often featured in her viral videos, was airlifted to Phoenix Childrenโs Hospital, where doctors attempted to save him.
A Social Media Storm After the News Broke
Before the family confirmed his identity, speculation ran rampant online. Once it was revealed that Trigg was the child who had drowned, a media frenzy followed. Fans and internet sleuths bombarded public agencies with record requests related to the tragedy.
According to a source close to the family, more than 100 public records requests were filed, many of them seeking graphic security footage, 911 calls, and autopsy photos. In response, Emilie took legal action to protect her family.
A Motherโs Legal Fight for Dignity
Just one week after Triggโs passing, Emilie filed a lawsuit in Maricopa County to block the release of those materials. On June 4, the Arizona Superior Court granted her a temporary confidentiality order, pausing the release of evidence while the court considers a final ruling.
Her declaration, according to a source, reflects โan intensely personal account of her grief and traumaโ and was submitted โto help the court understand her perspective, not for public consumption.โ
The goal? To safeguard her sonโs memory, not conceal facts.
โEmilie has fully cooperated with investigators,โ the source said.
โThe focus here is not on withholding information, but on safeguarding the dignity of a child and allowing a grieving family the space and privacy to heal.โ
Unrelenting Harassment and Online Speculation
While much of the public has responded with sympathy, some have turned invasive. The Kiser family has reportedly been harassed by strangers, with some fans showing up at their home, filming through windows, and sending unsolicited packages.
โHer public profile does not negate her right to privacy,โ the source added.
โBeing online should not strip someone of basic human decency.โ
Despite not posting since the tragedy, Kiserโs accounts continued receiving messages until she eventually disabled comments. Her husband, Brady Kiser, made his accounts private shortly after their sonโs death.
A Growing Family in Grief
Emilie and Brady became parents in July 2021 with the birth of Trigg. In March 2025, just two months before the tragedy, they welcomed their second child, Theodore.
Now, Emilie is doing her best to care for her newborn while processing an unthinkable loss.
โEvery day is a battle,โ the legal filing stated.
โEmilie is trying her best to be there for her surviving son, two-month-old Theodore.โ
The Chandler Police Department has confirmed that the case is still under investigation. As of now, the family has not reviewed the police report, security footage, 911 calls, or other materials tied to the case.
A Private Pain in a Public World
With more than 4 million followers on TikTok and 1.7 million on Instagram, Emilie Kiser has spent years letting the internet into her life. But now, sheโs asking for the opposite, a moment of privacy, protection, and healing.
Her request isnโt about hiding the truth. Itโs about honoring a little boyโs memory and preserving a motherโs right to grieve in peace.
