HGTV’s Jenny Marrs Posts Emotional Update After Sudden Farm Tragedy

Jenny and Dave Marrs are entering the new year under difficult circumstances after a devastating loss on their Arkansas farm.

In a February 8 Instagram post, Jenny shared that one of their sheep, BaaBaa, went into distress during labor and delivered quadruplet lambs. None survived.

“The past 24 hours have gone from joyous expectation to deep sorrow here on the farm,” Jenny wrote, describing the emotional turn of events. The family had not known BaaBaa was pregnant with four lambs.

When it became clear something was wrong, their veterinarian made an emergency visit. An emergency C-section was performed in Dave’s barn, but BaaBaa and all four lambs died despite efforts to save them. “Four beautiful, perfect babies… and we lost them all. Our best girl, BaaBaa, and all four babies. All gone. We are devastated,” Jenny shared.

The post included videos of BaaBaa going into labor and photos of Jenny and her daughter Charlotte holding the newborn lambs. One image showed Jenny and Charlotte standing over a grave Dave dug for BaaBaa and the lambs.

A devastating night in the barn

Jenny described the intense efforts made to save the animals. “We tried so hard to save them. We fought. They fought. I’ll never forget this night,” she wrote. She also thanked a neighbor who stayed through the emergency, saying they cried and prayed together afterward.

She noted the absence of their late friend, Mr. Bob, writing that he “would have been right here beside us.”

Jenny asked followers to “say an extra prayer for Charlotte,” explaining that her daughter stayed in the barn throughout the ordeal. She wrote that Charlotte “never hesitated or shrunk back at the sight of blood or the lifeless babies,” refusing to leave BaaBaa’s side.

According to Jenny, Charlotte repeated, “I believe in you,” while trying to help revive the lambs and would have named one Hope. “They died one by one but the one she had held out the longest,” she shared.

A year marked by repeated losses

This tragedy follows several other losses the family endured in 2025. Jenny noted the deaths of one of their farm animals, their family dog, two family friends, Dave’s mother, and Jenny’s grandmother.

Reflecting on the emotional toll, Jenny acknowledged the reality of farm life. “Somedays, farm life is beautiful. Other days, I want to pack up and move to a private island,” she wrote.

Fans of the Fixer to Fabulous stars responded with condolences and prayers, offering support to the Marrs family as they navigate another painful chapter.
