Heartwarming Reunion: Man Finds Dog Alive After Five Days in Palisades Fire Aftermath

During one of the darkest weeks in Los Angeles history, as wildfires continue to ravage the region, a heartwarming moment brought hope amidst the chaos.

Casey Colvin was joyfully reunited with his dog, Oreo, after the pup endured five harrowing nights in the aftermath of the Palisades Fire, which devastated their Pacific Palisades home.

The footage shows Oreo emerging from the ashes and making his way toward Colvin, who embraces him with tears of relief and gratitude.

The fire broke out on January 7 while Colvin was away from home. He rushed back in an attempt to save his two dogs, Oreo and Tikka Tikka Tikka. Fortunately, first responders were able to locate Tikka Tikka Tikka and reunite the dog with Colvin. However, Oreo, whom Colvin described as having “behavioral” tendencies, bolted from the house during the chaos, leaving Colvin deeply worried.

In the video of their reunion, posted Sunday, Oreo can be seen cautiously approaching down a driveway, where Colvin waits anxiously with Tikka Tikka Tikka by his side. Overcome with emotion, Colvin scoops Oreo into his arms, exclaiming, “Oh honey, you’re alive, you’re alive! Oh, thank you, God!”
