Gullit: ‘Forget Ferguson and Pep Guardiola, Ancelotti is the greatest coach of all the times’

Ruud Gullit, the Dutch football legend, anticipates an intriguing clash for Milan against Newcastle in the Champions League and shares insights into why he believes Carlo Ancelotti surpasses Sir Alex Ferguson and Pep Guardiola as the best coach ever.

In an exclusive interview with Gambling Zone, Gullit delves into the upcoming Champions League encounter at St. Jamesโ€™ Park:

‘I hope Milan gets a result against Newcastle United in the Champions League. I feel sorry for Newcastle; the decision to allow PSG a penalty in the last second of the 1-1 draw was unbelievable. Regardless, Milan remains my team, and I’ve seen them a lot this season. They’re a good team. It will be difficult for the english side.

Then when he was asked to compare his Milan lead by Arrigo Sacchi with Guardiola’s modern style of football:

“Let’s not compare that Milan team I played in to Pepโ€™s Man City or Barcelona. We’re in a different era of football now. The important thing is, that we both played attacking football. That kind of football gives you glory and trophies and that is the truth.”

Among the teammates Gullit had with that Milan squad was Carlo Ancelotti, who went on to become one of the best coaches of all the time, or as Gullit puts it, the greatest coach of all the time:

I think Ancelotti is a bit bigger than Sir Alex Ferguson and Pep due to the Champions Leagues heโ€™s won! Heโ€™s top-notch, and heโ€™s the king of Europe. Both Pep and Sir Alex are a part of history, but when you look at what Ancelotti has achieved there are no comparisons. Heโ€™s the king of kings, better than anyone else, and Iโ€™m very proud of him.
