It was at this event that he also debunked past rumors linking him to Juventus, stating, “No, Juventus has never approached me, but I really like Italy,” the coach admitted, “and I often come here for vacations. And the food is truly excellent.”
The coach was asked about Allegri and De Zerbi, with questions like: Do you think one wants to win and the other doesn’t? I think each one believes their method is the best way to achieve victory, and that’s it, everyone has their own ways to achieve that, at the end of the day every coaches aspire to win. I’ve never met a coach or player who doesn’t want to win or one who doesn’t aim to play well.”
Regarding the talent issue in Italy, he affirmed, “I believe that talent is everywhere. I don’t think Italy lacks talent,” discussing the current state of Italian football and the Italian national team. When asked about the greatest player he ever played with, he responded,
“Certainly, Roberto Baggio.” He then advised young individuals, “Talent doesn’t develop at home with Instagram or Twitter; that’s impossible. Talent develops through practice, even by making mistakes. Do you enjoy playing football? Then, play a lot.”
