Barcelona – Italian coach Antonio Conte has been offered to Barcelona, and they’re considering it. This scoop comes from the Spanish sports newspaper “Sport,” and later confirmed by the italian media, most notably by Corriere dello Sport, Tuttosport and Sport Mediaset which give all the details: the former Tottenham coach, who’s been without a team since last March when he parted ways with Spurs, isn’t the first name on the list of Barcelona’s board of directors and sporting director Deco. However, for the post-Xavi era, as Xavi will leave at the end of the season, Conte is a name that will still be considered.
Conte’s Potential Move to Barcelona
According to “Sport,” Conte would be willing to listen to the ‘Catalan’ club if his football philosophy aligns with what the Blaugrana are looking for. However, there haven’t been any further steps taken yet, no deep dives into negotiations, especially since the Catalan club seems to prioritize the German track represented by Klopp. It’s a tough road but not impossible.
