Investcorp is determined to complete the acquisition of Inter: they promises a high-level team.
Turki Al Ghamdi, a journalist from Saudi Arabia, who has previously worked for Al Yaum, one of the most prestigious local newspapers, as well as Abu Dhabi Sports, a well-known television broadcaster in the UAE, spoke to Tuttosport about the possible negotiation between Zhang and Investcorp for the purchese of Inter.
“Our community is very familiar with the fund; they know it has a great and prosperous future ahead, as they have never failed in any project they decided to undertake. The fund has various assets scattered around the world, which are currently being managed positively. Some time ago, the decision was made to acquire a football club as a new addition to the portfolio.
Now the choice has fallen on Inter because it is considered a suitable team for investment, with a large fan base and current ownership that, due to debts, will have to sell. Inter has a significant history and is one of the most prestigious clubs in the world. If a stadium were to be built, the revenues would be enormous.
Investcorp’s target would be to win everything, both domestically and internationally. Therefore, the focus would be on signing and recruiting top-class players and managers with monstrous investments to achieve the set goals.”
