Fox News personality and comedian Kat Timpf is recovering after undergoing a double mastectomy, following a shocking stage zero breast cancer diagnosis that came just one day before she gave birth to her first child.
The 36-year-old shared an update with her fans on Thursday, posting a photo from her hospital bed. The image showed her legs under a medical gown, with a humorous animated โcensoredโ sticker covering her feet. In typical Timpf fashion, she included a joke in the caption:
โPost-op! Theyโre honestly not much smaller than they were before I got pregnant.โ
Timpfโs followers were quick to respond with messages of encouragement, applauding her ability to maintain her sense of humor in the face of such a difficult experience.
โYour sense of humor will serve you well getting through this. Helped me, immensely,โ one fan commented. Another added, โHeal up Kat!! We love โค๏ธ you and praying for your complete and quick recovery so we can watch you on Gutfeld!! Donโt you love those gripper socks?โ
Support poured in from across social media, with fans and fellow moms sending well-wishes for a smooth recovery. Many acknowledged the emotional and physical toll of battling cancer while also caring for a newborn.
โGirl, just follow your doctorsโ instructions, rest and do your best! Cancer is a journey and motherhood is forever! You go Kat! You got this,โ wrote one supporter.
Timpf previously opened up about her diagnosis and the whirlwind of emotions that came with it.
In a heartfelt post shared at the end of February titled โAn Unconventional Birth Announcement,โ she recounted the moment she learned she had breast cancer just 15 hours before going into labor.
โLast week, I welcomed my first child into the world. About fifteen hours before I went into labor, I was diagnosed with breast cancer,โ she revealed.
The TV host went on to explain that her doctors were confident the cancer hadnโt spread, and it was caught early at stage zero.
She described how, just hours before giving birth, she was focused on trying to induce labor, only to be navigating a cancer diagnosis later that same day.
โBy the afternoon, I was waddling around from appointment to appointment, talking about how to get my cancer out,โ she wrote.
โI woke up more-than-a-week-past-due pregnantโฆ then I was crawling around the floor of my apartment in spontaneous labor,โ she added.
Following the announcement, Timpf thanked her followers for the outpouring of love and support. However, she also addressed those who used the moment to offer unsolicited advice, emphasizing the importance of personal boundaries and trusting her medical team.
Now, as she focuses on recovery and caring for her newborn son with husband Cameron Friscia, Timpf continues to share her experience with honesty and humor.
