Former aid of Meghan Markle inside the Royal Family claims that staff quit on her
New details have emerged regarding the allegations of bullying against Meghan Markle during her time as a working member of the British Royal Family. Samantha Cohen, a former aide who worked closely with the princess, recently shared insights into the situation during an interview with The Herald Sun.
Cohen, who served as Markle’s private secretary, was among the 10 royal staffers interviewed as part of Buckingham Palace’s investigation into the Duchess of Sussex. Having worked for the royal family since 2001.
While Cohen did not provide specific details about the allegations, she mentioned the challenges in finding a replacement for her role. She revealed that after staying for 18 months (originally intending to stay for six), subsequent hires also faced difficulties and eventually quit.
Was Meghan a Bully
The allegations against Markle surfaced just days before her and Prince Harry’s highly anticipated interview with Oprah Winfrey, during which they discussed the challenges of life within the royal family, which were labeled as ‘almost unsurvivable’.
Queen Elizabeth II privately funded the HR review, conducted independently in March 2021 following complaints from two royal staffers who claimed they had been bullied by Markle. However, despite the investigation concluding in June 2022, the findings will remain undisclosed to the public.
Markle’s legal team vehemently denied all allegations, labeling them as a ‘calculated smear campaign’ orchestrated against her. The investigation’s confidential conclusion adds another layer of complexity to the ongoing narratives surrounding the royal family.
