Michael Beasley has entered the chat and he brought receipts. Or at least, a bold memory.
During a recent livestream with Adin Ross, the former No. 2 NBA draft pick made a jaw-dropping claim: that he once blew out LeBron James in a private one-on-one game.
“Did you beat LeBron in a 1v1?” Ross asked.
Beasley replied, cool and unfazed: “Yeah… I mean, the story is told wrong.”
Pressed for the score, Beasley simply said it was “a lot to a little” — implying a blowout. While he didn’t give an exact number, he doubled down when asked if he really blew LeBron out.
“You blew him out?!” Ross asked again.
“Yeah,” Beasley nodded.
Legend or locker-room myth? That’s up for debate, but one thing’s for sure: Beasley’s confidence hasn’t faded.
A Walking Bucket — Just Ask the League
While Beasley’s NBA career didn’t match his high school hype or No. 2 pick status, his one-on-one reputation has always been elite. Stories from his time with the Miami Heat suggest Beasley once went on a 30-game winning streak playing against teammates in isolation drills, including LeBron himself.
And even after leaving the NBA, Beasley has continued to prove he can still get buckets. In a viral 1v1 showdown with Lance Stephenson, he showed flashes of the elite footwork and shot-creation that once made him a college phenom.
Meanwhile, LeBron Is Still Breaking Records
To be fair, LeBron likely isn’t losing sleep over the claim. The NBA’s all-time leading scorer now sits at 42,000+ points and counting in the regular season, with another 8,000+ in the playoffs — numbers that dwarf nearly every peer in history.
Heading into his 23rd NBA season, LeBron continues to silence critics, no matter how loud the “no bag” talk gets online. But that hasn’t stopped players — or streamers — from questioning what really happened behind closed doors during those Heat practices.
For now, it’s another legendary locker room story in NBA folklore. But if Beasley ever releases the tape — now that would be a Love & Basketball moment.
