AC Milan must find a permanent replacement for Olivier Giroud who is 37 years old. And according to ‘Gazzetta dello Sport’ they have found him, it’s Jonathan David
AC Milan seeks a new striker, with Jonathan David from Lille being the prime target as reportet by ‘Gazzetta‘. Milan’s strong interest in the Canadian striker is evident as they aim to find a long-term replacement for Olivier Giroud who is 37 years old.
Jonathan David, born in 2000, aligns with Milan’s criteria: young, highly talented, and not requiring a transfer from a top European club. His potential cost is estimated around โฌ40 million, lower than the โฌ60 million previously sought by Lille due to his contract expiring in 2025.
A considerable alternative, Porto’s Mehdi Taremi is a more cost-effective and experienced solution, but he has a limited growth potential, plus Milan may face competition from Inter in his pursuit.
Milan remains flexible, ready to make a move in January if the right opportunity arises. However, their primary plan revolves around making a significant striker acquisition in the summer of 2024. As the interim solution, Luka Jovic is not trusted, while Noah Okafor is not seen as a pure striker. Jonathan David might be the answer for all Milan’s troubles
