Lakers legend and 3x NBA champions James Worthy sent a message about Bronny and his draft potential
Los Angeles Lakers legend James Worthy has recently voiced strong criticism of the team’s future plans. During an interview shared by LakersDaily, Worthy mocked the front office’s dysfunction and questioned their rumored interest in Bronny James, LeBron James’ son.
Worthy has long been frustrated with the Lakers’ management, believing their decisions have sabotaged the franchise since their 2020 championship. He sarcastically remarked, “They did it right,” pointing out the impulsive moves made to satisfy LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
Worthy highlighted the departures of key players like Brandon Ingram, Julius Randle, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, and Malik Monk, along with the failed Russell Westbrook experiment. “The ink will lead back to the problem,” he added, emphasizing that the root issues lie within the team’s decision-making processes.
WILL THE LAKERS DRAFT BRONNY TONIGHT?
The potential drafting of Bronny James has become a contentious issue for the Los Angeles Lakers. Reports suggest that the Lakers are considering Bronny high on their draft board to keep LeBron James content.
However, Bronny’s performance at USC, averaging less than five points per game and standing at 6-foot-1, has raised doubts. James Worthy highlighted this skepticism with a sarcastic comment, “Well, he’s the greatest young player ever right now, Bronny, that’s what I’m going to say.”
The Lakers’ front office, led by Rob Pelinka, has been under fire for several questionable decisions. Recently, they announced J.J. Redick as their next head coach, a decision that surprised many given Redick’s lack of coaching experience. This move added to the growing criticism of the team’s management.
