While the Porto forward is expected in Milan on Tuesday, the midfielder has undergone tests before becoming a Nerazzurri starting from next season.
Mehdi Taremi yesterday, Piotr Zielinskiโฆ today. It’s days of medical examinations at Inter’s home: while the Iranian is expected in Milan today, the Pole has already undergone tests to become a new Nerazzurri player. Everything in great secrecy, away from the cameras and without the news coming out in the hours before: Zielinski was in Milan for the Milan-Napoli game, and on Monday morning, he took a decisive step for his future.
THE CONTRACT
All according to regulations, of course: it is indeed possible to close the contract of a player whose contract expires in the summer. Zielinski had been in Inter’s sights for some time; in recent days, Aurelio De Laurentiis had effectively given up. The Polish player’s contract will be for four years or three plus an option for another season, one more year than Taremi’s.
The player should receive around โฌ4.5 million plus bonuses per season. Piotr will further enrich an extraordinary midfield: Inzaghi has plenty of options in midfield, and Zielinski’s quality will increase even more, depending on the outgoing market.
Another zero-cost signing for Marotta’s Inter: in recent years, central elements like Calhanoglu and Mkhitaryan have arrived in midfield, and the club’s hope is that the Pole can do just as well in Milan.
