Dennis Schroder stood over Jalen Brunson after a foul. Then PJ Tucker got him back – Video

Midway through the third quarter of Monday’s Knicks–Pistons game, Dennis Schröder fouled Jalen Brunson and stood over him — a disrespectful move that didn’t go unnoticed.

Less than a minute later, PJ Tucker responded with force.

He sent Schröder to the floor with a hard foul… and then stood over him in return. The Garden erupted, and the message was clear: you mess with one Knick, you deal with all of them.

🎥 Watch the full sequence — it got personal fast:

Tucker: “They just out-toughed us”

After the game, PJ Tucker spoke about the physical tone of the night:

“They just out-toughed us. They did. The whole fourth quarter,” Tucker said. “We kept it close but they just out-toughed us. That’s something we got to address.”

Though his comment wasn’t about the incident directly, it reflected the energy the Knicks needed — and what he brought in that moment.

Fan Reactions

Knicks fans loved the payback. One fan posted:

“Dennis Schroder stands over Brunson after he fouls him… So PJ Tucker then stands over Schroder after he fouls him. Extend him again.”
