De Rossi: ‘I don’t like the comparisons with Mourinho. Inter? I didn’t care about them until now’

After the victory against Cagliari, the Giallorossi coach said, “It’s too early to look at the standings.”

Taking it one step at a time, without getting too excited and with great calmness, Daniele De Rossi enjoyed his third consecutive victory at the helm of Roma: “The standings? I look at the points earned, at the beautiful things the guys do on the field. When you face these opponents where Roma is stronger, we must always aim for the win.”

Regarding Mourinho: “I think making comparisons with Mourinho is not correct. His team has won many games just like this one today. .”

Speaking about the game, De Rossi notes, “What I liked the most is that I saw on the field things we had emphasized in training. In the first 2 matches we suffered a lot, today it was different. Everyone did well to fill the box, and the defense was good too. There are still things to improve, but I’m happy. The players were good from the start and managed to keep the ball and attack at the right time.”

Regarding Dybala’s performance, who scored a brace, De Rossi says, “This is part of everything other players do in other parts of the field. The idea is to fill the box because they have a lot of quality, and I know that in space, they create. I know they have qualities that allow me to use time to work on other things we need to improve.”

On the next match against Inter: “I won’t make comparisons with how Mourinho would have faced this game; we’ll see start thinking about it from tomorrow. Obviously, we’ve seen Inter against Juventus, and we’ve already thought about it. The players deserve a coach who concentrates solely on the upcoming game.”
