Darryl Worley asks fans for prayers after receiving devastating news

Country music star Darryl Worley is asking for prayers after his teenage daughter, Savannah, was seriously injured in a car accident in Nashville.

The 16-year-old was airlifted to Vanderbilt Medical Center following the crash, which involved two vehicles.Worley, 60, shared the heartbreaking news on Facebook on Sunday while traveling back to Tennessee from a performance in New Mexico.

In his emotional post, he explained how his wife, Kimberly, informed him about the accident. “Savannah had been in a bad wreck and was being life-flighted to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville,” the โ€œI Miss My Friendโ€ singer wrote.

Providing initial details, Worley revealed that Savannah sustained a broken leg, along with bruises and lacerations. He asked his followers to pray not only for his daughter but also for the other driver involved in the collision. “I donโ€™t have any details on the accident but just ask you to pray!! Thank you!” he added.

The post included a family photo of Worley with Savannah, as well as images of the wrecked vehicles. Both cars, a red one and a white one, appeared heavily damaged from what seemed to be a head-on collision. Debris, including shattered parts of the cars and the rim of a wheel, was scattered on the ground.

On Tuesday, Worley shared an update on Savannahโ€™s recovery, posting a hopeful photo of her lying in a hospital bed with medical tubes attached to her arm. Despite the ordeal, Savannah managed a small smile.

“It may be raining today, but my sunshine is awake with a little smile on her face,” Worley wrote in the update. “Itโ€™s been a rough few days, but we know God is in control and shielded Savannah in all of this.” He expressed gratitude for her progress, noting that while she wasnโ€™t yet ready to go home, her condition had improved significantly.

The singer concluded his message with hashtags expressing his faith and love for his daughter, including #mygirl, #savannah, and #praiseJesus.

Worley has been married to Kimberly Lee Perkins since December 2007, and the couple shares Savannah. He was previously married to Beverly Irwin from 2001 to 2006.

While details about the accident remain limited, Nashville authorities have not released further information. Representatives for Worley also have yet to provide additional comments.
