Billy Ray Cyrus’s relationship with his daughter Miley Cyrus may have reached a breaking point after a shocking audio clip, exclusively revealed by DailyMail.com, captured him branding her a “devil” and a “skank.” The 62-year-old’s harsh words have reportedly severed any remaining ties with his popstar daughter, who is 31.
The audio, made public days after Billy’s vitriolic remarks, has insiders claiming that this incident was the final straw for Miley. Their relationship was already strained due to Billy’s marriage to his estranged wife, Firerose, 37.
According to sources, Miley has not spoken to her father since her mother, Tish, 57, filed for divorce in 2022 after 28 years of marriage.
An insider revealed to DailyMail.com, “There is no excuse, ever, for a father to call his daughter a skank. Any inkling of respect that Miley had for her father is gone. He is dead to her.”
In the disturbing recording, Billy refers to himself in the third person before launching into a tirade against Miley, calling her “that devil” and stating, “Everyone knows that devil’s a skank.” He further lashes out at his ex-wife Tish, calling her a “liar,” a “wh***,” and a “cheat.”
A source close to Miley noted, “Honestly, Miley is not surprised that these words came out of his mouth. She’s mad, sad, and indifferent—all the emotions are there. Miley is over caring about what Billy Ray has to say about her, her mom, or her siblings. She’s an independent woman and refuses to let her dad, or any man, break her heart.”
Billy has reportedly attempted to excuse his outburst, claiming his words were “taken out of context.” However, Miley is reportedly “refusing to entertain” any apologies from him. “He is trying to say that what he said about Miley, calling her a skank, was taken out of context,” an insider claimed. “But Miley is not even entertaining any of this. She won’t be accepting any apologies.”
The source added that Miley was further hurt by the fact that her father also lashed out at her mother, Tish. In a text exchange with his manager Scott Adkins, Billy referred to Tish as a “liar,” a “wh***,” a “cheat,” and “scum of the earth.”
Billy and Tish share three children: Miley, Braison, 30, and Noah, 24. Billy also has a son from a previous relationship and adopted Tish’s two children, Brandi, 37, and Trace, 35, when they married.
