Tomorrow at 5:00 PM local time, the Saudi football federation will introduce the former Azzurri coach as the new manager of the Green Falcons. He has signed a contract until 2027 with a net salary of 25 million per year. His debut will be on September 8th in Newcastle against Costa Rica.
Tomorrow afternoon, Roberto Mancini will be presented as the new coach of the Green Falcons, the national team of Saudi Arabia. The event is scheduled for 5:00 PM local time, which is 4:00 PM in Italy.
The presentation will not take place at the Saudi Arabia Football Federation (SAFF) headquarters but in a hotel in the Saudi capital. Mancini will be introduced by the federation president, Yasser Al Misehal.
Mancini has signed a contract until 2027. In January 2027, Saudi Arabia will host the AFC Asian Cup for the first time in its history, a competition they last won in 1996. They will aim to win it again in the next January, in Doha, Qatar.
Mancini’s annual salary will be around 25 million, tax-free. His debut will be on September 8th in Newcastle against Costa Rica, and he will lead the Green Falcons again on the 12th at home, against South Korea.
In November, the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup begin, with Saudi Arabia in a group with Jordan, Tajikistan, and the winner of the playoff between Cambodia and Pakistan. The top two advance, followed by two more qualification phases.
