The former AC Milan legend and executive is negotiating with the Arab team for the role of general manager.
Paolo Maldini‘s future could be in Saudi Arabia. According to the well-known market expert Fabrizio Romano, the former Milan’s technical director is reportedly seriously considering the offer from the Saudi club Al Ittihad, the team where Karim Benzema and N’golo Kante play. The club has proposed the role of general manager to the former Rossoneri executive. If the deal goes through, Maldini would become another significant figure in the Saudi Pro League.
Al Ittihad, which recently parted ways with coach Nuno Espirito Santo, is currently 5th in the Saudi league, 11 points behind the top spot and outside the positions that would qualify them for the Asian Champions League. If Maldini agrees to terms with the Arab club, it would mark his first experience as an executive outside of AC Milan, a club where he has previously held managerial roles on two occasions.”
