The former Rossoneri striker met with the RedBird’s top executive in a Milanese hotel to discuss a potential return to the club.
On the eve of the Champions League match at San Siro against PSG, Zlatan Ibrahimovic takes the spotlight at AC Milan. The former Rossoneri striker had a meeting in a Milan hotel with Gerry Cardinale, the top executive at RedBird.
Ibrahimovic, a two-hour conversation with Cardinale
At the heart of the conversation was the potential return of the 42-year-old Swedish ex player to the Rossoneri team after his retirement from professional football last summer. If Ibra returns again, it will be for the first time with a role OFF the field and this was the main topic of the discussion between the Swede and Cardinale that lasted 2 hours. At the end of the meeting, around 7:45 PM, Ibrahimovic appeared with a smile but did not make any statements to the fans and journalists present.
Maignan’s words about Ibrahimovic
Meanwhile, yesterday (November 6), goalkeeper Mike Maignan had spoken about Ibrahimovic during a press conference on the eve of the match against PSG. He responded to a question about the Swedish player, who was a prominent figure in the Rossoneri dressing room:
“I am Mike, and Ibra is Ibra. He did his thing, and I do mine. I always try to give my best to help the team. We lost Ibra, but today – as emphasized by the French goalkeeper – we have a strong team with other leaders. The past is behind us.”
