Breaking: Di Marzio: “Inter and Inzaghi towards divorce, Marotta already observing this coach”

Gianluca Di Marzio was interviewed exclusively by TMW and talked about the current situation at Inter Milan and the prospects for the club’s coaching position in the future.

What do you think about Serie A where Napoli is dominating?

“If we compare the path of Inter, Milan, Juventus, Roma, and Lazio to Napoli’s super performance, they all seem disappointing, but in reality, Spalletti’s team has done something incredible.

They had an incredible performance in terms of results, game, talents, and everything. It was a perfect season, amazing, and it’s not fair to negative the performance of others.

Milan and Inter, but also Roma, have achieved a European path that could not have been predicted. Obviously, especially the two Milan teams, they did not maintain the same performance between the league and the cups, highlighting weaknesses.”

Has something broken between Inter and Inzaghi?

“I don’t know, but regardless of how it ends, I believe we may be heading towards a divorce. Apparently, the many losses this year, especially against the small teams, may have raised doubts in the minds of the managers and the club that the team could have done better than it did because in the big games, Inter was always there.

The club thinks that the team has a higher value than the current ranking. But opinions change in football, maybe in the case of a Champions League semifinal… However, there is a sense that something is cracking in the relationship between the parties.”

Would you be surprised to see Thiago Motta on Inter’s bench next year?

“No, I wouldn’t be surprised. I know he is under observation, there are requests for information to better understand him as a person, as a coach… He is one of those on Inter’s list, as it should be in case of a divorce with Inzaghi.

It’s a shame to talk about a coach under contract with a team that hired him when they had to replace Mihajlovic, and Thiago Motta was at home… Credit to Bologna for thinking about it ahead of time, so they have every right to enjoy him for at least another year and start from the beginning with him. We are virtually counting without the host; having a contract, it will be up to Bologna to decide whether to let him go or not.”
