The Inter midfielder responds to rumors about his involvement in a betting case: “I have never liked gambling, let alone betting on my profession. I want to protect my family, and now I will take legal action.”
Nicolรฒ Barella responds to the rumors regarding his alleged involvement in the betting case that has shaken the Italian football in the recent weeks, and he does so with a strong statement on Instagram, reiterating his complete innocence in the matter and reserving the right to take legal action to protect himself.
It all started from an article published in the newspaper “La Veritร ,” (The Truth in english) which suggested that among the names mentioned by Antonio Esposito‘s uncle, the alleged informant of Fabrizio Corona, there were also those of Barella, Gyasi, and Lamela. “From a newspaper called ‘The Truth,’ one would expect more seriousness. The ONLY TRUTH is that you are clowns,” wrote Barella in a story posted on his Instagram profile.
He then continued with another outburst: “I have been quiet for too long, despite everything I have read about me. I have never liked gambling, let alone betting. The only thing that matters to me is protecting my daughters and my family from this nonsense. That’s why starting today, I will pursue legal charges.“
