As reported by ‘Gazzetta dello Sport‘ Mario Balotelli has never hesitated to speak his mind, and this time is no exception. His statements are often sharp and stir discussion, especially when he speaks in defense of someone, as is the case here where he spoke about his former coach Max Allegri.
ON HIS FORMER COACH ALLEGRI
Balotelli had some special words for his former coach Massimiliano Allegri who managed him at Milan between 2013 and 2014: “If you could win every game 1-0, playing poorly, I would sign for that. But as a forward, if they asked me to play defensively all the time, I would gradually start asking myself questions because I always want to score. In any case, if Allegri prepared the games like that, and he won, he is definitely right.”
On this occasion, the forward currently under contract with Adana Demirspor in Turkey also recalls their relationship at Milan: “Allegri was anything but defensive-minded. There were certain types of players: me, El Shaarawy, Robinho… Obviously, if at Juventus he decided to play like this, it’s because Juventus players are not as strong as one might think.”
