Austin Butler just joined the growing list of stars falling under the spell of Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour and he’s not holding back.
While promoting his upcoming film Caught Stealing with Zoë Kravitz, the actor shared his full-blown admiration for Swift’s artistry, both on stage and off. And yes, he’s officially excited for The Life of a Showgirl, dropping October 3.
“I went to The Eras Tour and it blew my mind. I was so impressed,” Butler told Access Hollywood. “That was amazing, I was so blown away.”
“A lot of Taylor in one day” — and he loved it
Butler didn’t stop at the concert. After watching Swift dominate on stage, he headed home and cued up Miss Americana, her behind-the-scenes documentary on Netflix.
“That was a lot of Taylor in one day,” he joked, “and I just [have] real respect [for her]. Watching Miss Americana, he added, ‘made me care a lot for her.’”
It’s a big statement from the usually low-key star, and fans are here for it.
Zoë Kravitz calls the new album “fantastic” — and confirms there are “no skips”
Butler isn’t the only one showing Swift love. His co-star Zoë Kravitz, who’s also a close friend of Taylor’s, revealed she’s already heard parts of The Life of a Showgirl and didn’t hold back on the praise.
“It’s fantastic,” she told Extra TV. “[There are] no skips.”
In another interview, Kravitz added: “It’s always amazing watching your friends do amazing stuff. She put so much into it — it’s such a vision.” Butler and Kravitz’s new film Caught Stealing hits theaters August 29.
