Filmmaker Jeff Baena best known for directing films like “Life After Beth” and “The Little Hours,” and the husband of Aubrey Plaza, has died.

Filmmaker Jeff Baena, the husband of actress Aubrey Plaza, has tragically passed away at the age of 47. His death was confirmed by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner, who stated that Baena died at his Los Angeles residence on Friday.

According to law enforcement sources, his body was discovered by an assistant at approximately 10:30 a.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

He also co-wrote the 2004 film I Heart Huckabees with director David O. Russell.

Jeff met actress Aubrey Plaza in 2011, and the pair tied the knot in May 2021 in a private ceremony. Throughout their relationship, they frequently expressed admiration for each other. In an August 2022 interview with Reel Talker, Jeff praised Aubrey, saying, โ€œSheโ€™s awesome. Iโ€™d be working with her if she wasnโ€™t my wife, but luckily she is my wife.
