Another injury: It’s only December, Dybala already been out for 45 days. When will he be back?

The injuries for the Argentinean don’t seem to stop: his match against Fiorentina lasted 25 minutes due to another issue. Here’s what we know of his return.

“It’s not even news anymore. Believe it or not, we’re at the 8th setback in the last two seasons wearing the Giallorossi jersey. Paulo Dybala is everything but the epitome of physical strength; his body, for years now, hasn’t allowed him the continuity of playing time, which seems almost like a dream of the past.

This year, he had already stopped due to adductor issues (19 days, from August 26 to September 14) and a collateral ligament injury (26 total days, from October 8 to November 3). And we haven’t even reached the end of the calendar year yet, it’s still December.

RECOVERY

Today, against Fiorentina, he didn’t even stay on the field for 25 minutes, seemingly due to a hamstring issue (he touched the back of his left thigh). His expression when leaving the field, however, seemed more of disappointment than fear of another forced break.

Instrumental tests are expected in the next few hours and they will indicate the recovery time, with Mourinho eyeing and hoping to have him for the match against Napoli on December 23: there, the Portuguese coach would certainly want to see Paulo on the field AGAIN!”
