Angelina Jolie’s youngest children, twins Vivienne Marcheline and Knox León, are now officially 16 years old. Born in 2008, Vivienne and Knox, whom the Maleficent star shares with ex-husband Brad Pitt, reached this milestone on July 12.
Angelina and Brad, former Mr. and Mrs. Smith co-stars who separated in 2017 after a lengthy and challenging divorce, share six children in total: Maddox, 22, Pax, 20, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and the twins.
Angelina first revealed she was expecting twins at the Independent Spirit Awards in early 2008, where she appeared on the red carpet in a stunning black dress that highlighted her growing baby bump.
Knox carries a significant family legacy with his name, honoring Brad’s grandfather, Hal Knox Hillhouse, while his middle name, León, comes from Angelina’s great-great grandfather.
Vivienne’s middle name, Marcheline, pays homage to Angelina’s mother, actress Marcia Lynne Bertrand, who was married to Angelina’s father, Jon Voight, from 1971 to 1980 and passed away in 2007. Born in Nice, France, Knox and Vivienne entered the world with Knox arriving first, followed by his sister just moments later.
Their public debut came just three weeks later on the cover of People’s August 2008 issue, where the newborns captured hearts around the world. They spent their early months at Château Miraval in Provence, France — a property once shared by Angelina and Brad and a continued point of contention in their divorce.
While they’ve mostly stayed out of the limelight, Vivienne and Knox have made occasional appearances, particularly in some of their mother’s films.
Fans have noted that Knox bears a striking resemblance to his father, Brad, drawing attention for his similar facial features. What do you think — do Knox and Brad look alike?
