Allegri: “Not easy to win here. Champions League here we come. Now let’s enjoy our Christmas”

The Juventus coach after the success against Frosinone: “It wasn’t easy; only Napoli had won in this stadium.”

Massimiliano Allegri was pleased with Juventus’ success against Frosinone: “It wasn’t easy today, only Napoli had won here;” said the coach for Dazn. “We had an excellent first half, pushing and creating a lot of chances. But when it is only 1-0, it’s normal for others to gain confidence and hit you back. Overall I’m happy for Yildiz, Vlahovic, and the whole team. This is an extraordinary group; today, we remained clear-headed and compact until the end to win the game.”

Allegri remains reserved about the title race: “We’ve surpassed the 38-point target I set for the first half of the season; now let’s think about having a good Christmas and prepare for the match against Roma. We are certainly getting closer to the Champions League quota.”

It’s inevitable to talk about Kenan Yildiz, starting and scoring right away: “He’s young and enthusiastic; Iling, Nicolussi, Weah also did well… There’s a great spirit, but we need to continue working on our limitations. When Chiesa was hurt during training, I tried Kenan to replace him immediately; he was his natural substitute and seems much more experienced than he is.”

Allegri is also pleased with Vlahovic‘s performance, back to scoring after a few shadowy games: “Coming off the bench, I think it reassured him that he needs to do better. Despite some good performances, he faced criticism, and I believe he needed to calm down a bit today. He did it. He’s an intelligent guy, and when he came on, he gave us a big hand.”
