Allegri then analyzed the overall match as follows: “It was a good defensive performance by our team, but in the final moments ofthe match, we should have managed the ball better. When you have someone like Leao, you don’t really feel the numerical advantage… nevertheless, we won against Milan after a long time, and I’m pleased.
The reason for my frustration at the end? When you play against 11 against 10, the pitch should become like an airport, and they shouldn’t touch the ball anymore. There shouldn’t be tight passes, dribbling, or waiting for challenges.”
He was also content with Huijsden’s debut: “He came on with great composure, made plays without putting his teammates in difficult situations, and showed excellent anticipation in dealing with Leao.”
